British Wild Card Falls to Qualifier Lulu Sun
Emma Raducanu's dream run at Wimbledon came to an end in the fourth round, as she was defeated by qualifier Lulu Sun in three sets, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2.
The British wild card, who stunned the tennis world by reaching the semifinals of the US Open last year, was hampered by an injury in the deciding set, which allowed Sun to seize the opportunity and secure the victory.
Sun, a 21-year-old from New Zealand, had never won a match at a Grand Slam before Wimbledon, but has now reached the quarterfinals, where she will face No. 4 seed Ons Jabeur.
